The I of the F.I.G.H.T. program – Infection

Written by GORDON, M.D., Garry F

Infection is a major concern for all of us. Not only do we need to counter the growing number of harmful bacteria that attack our body daily, but we must look at the long-term effects of pathogens encountered and the potential for serious disease later.

This is why Infection takes a place as the letter I in my F.I.G.H.T. program – a complete way of caring about all aspects of our health.

How we’re exposed to infection everyday

Our environment is saturated with toxins and pollutants. Although steps are being taken to address the increasing poisoning of our soil, water and air, this trend is set to rise.

It’s no coincidence that the amount of infection-spreading germs is escalating as a result. This means our body’s defenses must work harder to fight off invading pathogens – killing off harmful bacteria before it has a chance to infect cells and spread to vital organs.

Something that many people won’t be aware of is that infections contracted now can have a major impact on our health later. When the body’s defense is diminished to a significant degree, then the viruses that sit latent in our bodies can take hold. If our body doesn’t kill off the infection in the short-term, it digs deeper, causing inflammation, which after time becomes chronic inflammation and this leads to long-term illnesses.

Infection and the link to chronic diseases

There are documented links between seemingly disparate infections and disease. For example, there’s a correlation between poor oral hygiene and contracting heart disease – due to the mouth infection migrating through the body to form arterial plaque. Lying on our arteries, the infection takes hold when our defenses are low. These infected plaque lesions eventually burst and expose blood platelets to arterial tissue, which in turn, cause the body to react and fix the sores – which instead of a patch of platelets covering the sore, blood clots form. This process precipitates the majority of sudden heart attacks and strokes.

There’s also a correlation between the Chlamydia (C. pneumonia) infection and the development of Alzheimer’s disease and a link between an infection caught in childhood and obesity. In fact, there are so many infections that link to latent conditions that it’s increasingly necessary to do as much as we can to bolster our immune systems.

These links are particularly shocking when you realize the range and prevalence of viruses present in our world. Viruses like AIDS, CMV, H1N1, MRSA, SARS, and XMRV – are just some of the thousands of pathogens around today. Of course, some are better known than others, but just to give an idea of how prevalent these infections are, in the United States alone, the human cytomegalovirus affects 50 – 80% of the population. Abbreviated to CMV, the cytomegalovirus is a latent infection – sitting in the system for potentially years until developing into something damaging – like hypertension or heart disease.

There are simply so many viruses at large that getting some form of parasitic infection is inevitable. Candida, Coxsackievirus, Chlamydia and Lyme disease already affect millions of people. It’s undiagnosed infections like these that are contributing to the development of the most chronic and widespread diseases suffered today. Conditions like autism, Alzheimer’s, arthritis, and even cancer are among those on the list of diseases that can materialize from infection.

Fortunately, there are ways to counter these harmful invaders – both at the first-line of defense and defeating these diseases. That’s why I for infection is an integral part of my F.I.G.H.T program. Instead of using counter-productive treatments like antibiotics (we’ll come to the importance of avoiding antibiotics shortly); the natural and safe way to treat and prevent is where the future of healthy longevity lays.

Misuse and overuse of antibiotics

There is a global epidemic that is far more serious than any single major infection – the overuse of antibiotics. Not only are they overprescribed, causing viral strains to become immune from the effect (a ticking time bomb for the planet’s collective health), and also kill useful bacteria as well as harmful bacteria, but use significantly elevates the chance of contracting serious diseases in the long term.

The use of antibiotics by women, for example, has been shown to increase the chance of yeast and fungal infections after a course has been taken. Disrupting the bacterial balance, women can become more prone to this type of infection, and many oncologists are now establishing a link between antibiotic use and cancer.

Even a one-time use of antibiotics can increase the chance of contracting breast cancer by 1.5 times. In more frequent use, a study by the Journal of the American Medical Association has reported a study on 10,000 women in which those that took over 500 days of antibiotics in a 17 year period had twice the risk of breast cancer than those who didn’t take antibiotics. It’s not just the increased chance of breast cancer that can occur with antibiotic use; conditions like inflammatory bowel disorder and Crohn’s disease are also linked. This connection even extends to children developing conditions such as hay fever, asthma, autism and other neurological diseases.

Indiscriminate antibiotic usage is due to cause a problem on a global scale. One such way is through farm animals given antibiotics and causing the strain to mutate and be too strong for our immune systems before it reaches us. Due to this type of use on animals, untreatable strains of bacteria wrought by antibiotic overuse kills around 100,000 people each year.

In the F.I.G.H.T program I’ve developed, this problem of antibiotic overuse and resultant, resistant strains of bacteria created can be combated, naturally. Using high doses of oral vitamin C in Bio-En’R-Gy C®, and intravenously when needed, along with advanced forms of silver like ACS 200®, has been shown to safely and effectively deal with these strong types of bacterial, viral and fungal infections.

In fact, high doses of Vitamin C will stop every infection without the need to use antibiotics. When Bio-En’R-Gy C® is teamed up with Vitamin A, and a hi-potency form of aged garlic such as KYOLIC, as used in Beyond Chelation Improved® then many infections that can’t be helped by antibiotics are countered – with no detrimental side effects. Alone, Vitamin C added into the system intravenously in 50-100 grams IV Vitamin C would kill any infection. How it works is by the ascorbic acid becoming H202 (Hydrogen peroxide) inside the cell, and thus breaks down the integrity of these invading cells.

A technique which is used extensively in Germany and Russia, but not so much in the United States, is to use a 3-6 IV treatment – known as UVB (ultra-violet blood irradiation) and ozone over a period of two days to two weeks. Another oxidative treatment known as Hyperbaric Oxygen (HBO) can also be used for even better results in chronic or life-threatening infections.

In short, there are many natural ways on the program that effectively counter infection without resorting to antibiotics, chemicals, or surgical procedures.

If we’re aware of the infections and their potential development into serious illness, we can stop health issues before they have a chance to dig deep into our body. With proper testing and by following the health regime as outlined in my F.I.G.H.T program, acute, degenerative infection and disease can be fought off for good.
